Gräsmarks Hembygdsgården
In the village Gräsmark there is a little open air museum with a traditional cafe that’s called Hembygdsgärden. Café and Museum are Daily opened: July – August
Fridays they serve a traditional dinner NÄVGROT, it was the daily dinner of Finnish foresters.
Hembygdsgärden is also a place where all kinds of musicians play.

augustus – Gräsmarksdagerna
The village festival of Gräsmark is for young and old, there is music and folklore and the traditional relay and light festival on the water.
Fryksdalsdancing
The big dance and entertainment festival of Värmland takes place in week 30 of every year.

Wintertips
Marbacka
Marbacka is the homeplace of the writer of the books of Nils Holgersson, it is always a beautiful place to visit, but in November you can find here a wonderful Christmas market. It’s like a fairy tale to walk through the park and to find lovely traditional Swedish products.
Kalasmarkeriet på Prästgårns Julbord
We are very happy that this restaurant is next to our campsite. This is the most beautiful restaurant in the area, you can find here the best food, a warm environment and friendly people.
With Christmas they serve the traditional Swedish Christmas dinner, this is a specialty of the restaurant. You must make a reservation at this time.
SAFFRAN & VITLÖK
This fresh and bright restaurant is delightful place to eat and to have a coffee in the lounge. The restaurant is situated in the center of Sunne, next to the library. We love it here !!
WINTERSPORTS
From the month December until March you can find in the area at several places ski slopes and cross country trails. Nearby our campsite is Ski-Sunne and from the campsite there are cross country trails.
Cross Country Trails are many in the area, some of those are also lit up.
The skating opportunities depends on the weather conditions. There is always ice, but the amount of snow determines whether trips can be made.
Rokkmakkstugan Ängen is a magnificent place. You can find here many cross country tracks and hiking trails. There is a lovely place to drink coffee or have a picknick and you can order the best Swedish waffles here !
ICE HOCKEY
This is the number one sport in Sweden and the home base of ice hockey is located in Karlstad. This is one of the largist city’s of Sweden and is closest to Gräsmark and is easy to drive. You can easy visit a Match. The clubname is Färjestad BK/Karlstad
